Exciting Summer Reading Challenges 2024

Dear Parents/Carers,

Brent Libraries Summer Fun Festival 2024

To help support your child/children to keep reading over the summer holidays, we would like to share some details about two reading challenges. Our first challenge for the children is to join the Brent Libraries Summer Fun Festival 2024.

We are encouraging children to visit their local Brent library, sign up for a Summer Fun passport and read six books for the chance to win prizes, certificates and badges. Children should say they are from Wykeham Primary School when they sign up for the challenge. There is also a programme of free activities and events throughout the summer holiday.

 National Read-Aloud Challenge 2024

Our second exciting challenge is the National Read-Aloud Challenge 2024. 

Wykeham Primary School is taking part in the National Read-Aloud Challenge 2024. The Read-Aloud challenge aims to encourage children to keep reading over the summer holidays until the 31^st August 2024.
